Section VII of the Pius-Christian Museums includes three items: the front and the lower part of a sarcophagus, and the slab of the abbess Lucia’s tomb. The restoration, performed by Officina Consorzio, required the cleaning of mineral deposits, the removal of surface layers, resin residues, and gypsum additions. Some areas were treated with dampened latex sponges, diammonium citrate and agar tablets. Restorers created a lime and marble powder-based grouting to fill in small cracks as protective treatment with ammonium oxalate and demineralized water.
