The newly restored Apollo Belvedere, one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world, is now once again on display for visitors to admire.

The unveiling ceremony, which took place on October 14, was attended by esteemed Patrons of the Vatican Museums, with Italian&International chapter leader, Mrs. Zappia, presiding over the event. The Apollo Belvedere, long considered a paragon of classical beauty, has been meticulously restored to its original splendor, ensuring its preservation for future generations.

"This restoration would not have been possible without the incredible support of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums", said Monsignor Terence Hogan, Coordinator of the PAVM. "Their generosity—particularly through the contributions of the Italian and International chapter—ensured that this project became part of the prestigious Bank of America Art Conservation Project for 2021. I would also like to extend a special thanks to the Illinois and New York Chapters for their critical role in supporting the preliminary studies that guided this restoration".

The Apollo Belvedere is widely regarded as a symbol of divine beauty and artistic perfection. Visitors can now view the restored sculpture at its permanent location in the Vatican Museums’ Octagonal Courtyard.
